Wonderful B&B

We booked a room at the Dungeness Barn House Bed and We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we stepped through the door, Clare and Sue are such wonderful hosts. We had the Dungeness View Suite for our 8 night stay which had a walk-in closet, large bedroom with a super comfy bed and a good sized bathroom which has a separate tub and shower. On top of all of this Clare and Sue made us the most enjoyable breakfasts every day with the freshest produce from their own garden and surrounding farms. Their chickens contributed the freshest eggs to some of this fare. If you are intending staying in the Sequim or Port Angeles area the Dungeness Barn House has to be at the top of your accommodation list.

My husband and I had a fabulous one night stay at The Dungeness Bed and Breakfast at Two Crows Farm. We would have loved to stay longer but sadly for us, they were fully booked. Sue and Clare are wonderful inn keepers and we thorough enjoyed their hospitality and attention to details. The inn is lovely and our room and bed were well appointed and very comfortable. We enjoyed beer and wine with cheese and crackers on the patio the evening we checked in, and breakfast the following morning was excellent. We can’t wait to come back for a longer stay.

Fabulous and Friendly!

We spent two nights in the Garden Suite and it was wonderful. The B&B is very clean and they have thought of everything. The lounge on the second floor has a gorgeous view of the Strait, candy jars to snack from ,board games books even a yoga loft . The garden is very peaceful with plenty of places to sit and rest. The breakfasts were great and there was wine and cheese in the afternoon. The owners Susan and Clare couldn’t have been nicer Pumpkin,the cat and Cozymo ,the dog were great too. We wouldn’t change a thing.

Wonderful stay and perfect getaway!

My husband and I had he pleasure to stay at the Dungeness Barn House Bed and Breakfast and it is truly a special place to visit. Sue and Clare made us feel so welcome and the gourmet breakfast was wonderful. Each day having something so special! The impeccable décor made the stay so comfortable and like home for a few days. Tranquil oceanfront B&B

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay with Su, Clare and Cozy Mo. The inn is in a scenic location with views of the Dungeness Spit, the lighthouse and the lights of Victoria at night. The gardens are obviously lovingly tended. The Barn is a calming, tranquil space decorated in subdued tones with lots of space and comfy furniture to lounge. We stayed in the Garden View Room upstairs with a king-size bed and private bath. The room is very comfortable and spacious. The adjoining great room is a fantastic space with soaring ceiling, views for miles and snacks galore.
Su and Clare offered afternoon wine and snacks as well as a delicious breakfast with ingredients from their farm. The granola was especially yummy.
Cozy Mo gave us a tour of the farm and gardens and we met all the girls (chickens).
We just wish we had been able to stay longer. We will definitely visit again if we have the opportunity.

Perfection.

We stayed at the Dungeness Barn House Bed and Breakfast for one night before catching the ferry to Vancouver Island. Before we even went to bed that evening, we were already planning our next stay.

Su was a gracious, most helpful hostess (Clare was out of town, but we look forward to meeting her on our next visit). We, along with our senior-aged Pomeranian, felt absolutely welcomed into their home. The home is absolutely spectacular! A converted 1926 (I believe) barn into a house worthy of Better Homes & Gardens. It was obvious that the utmost care and attention to detail goes into every inch of the house and property – from the eclectic, world-traveler decorations to the well-maintained gardens.

The location of the house is incredibly peaceful and serene. It’s on a corner lot overlooking the Dungeness Bay and Spit with the Dungeness Lighthouse off in the distance. We watched the cruise ships come and go right outside the huge picture window in the common room upstairs. When daylight faded, the reassuring blink of the lighthouse came into view. There was very little traffic noise as the property is bordered by a gravel road that seems to be used only by local residents.

The morning of our journey to Vancouver Island, I peacefully meditated in the yoga loft while the delicious smells of breakfast being cooked and coffee being brewed wafted upstairs from the kitchen. Awaiting us was a beautiful Avocado Eggs Benedict with fresh veggies straight from the kitchen garden. Su and her helper (sorry, I’ve forgotten her name, but she was lovely!) chatted easily with us as we ate breakfast, our pup by our side.

And the bonus feature: the property includes the sweetest little deck right out over the water of Dungeness Bay. Access is through a locked gate across the gravel road from the house. It’s the perfect place to share a bottle of wine and watch the ships float by.

We very much look forward to our next visit and want to thank Su and Clare for sharing their home with us!

Stay here! Drive a little more and make day trips from this location – you won’t be disappointed.
Gracious hosts, impeccable design, delicious food, incredibly peaceful. We stayed in both the suites (our teens had the Dungeness View and we had the Garden View) and each was beautiful and oh so comfortable. Our only regret was not staying longer!

Peaceful retreat with warm hospitality

We stayed in the Dungeness View room – the bed was huge and comfortable, the jetted tub was a luxurious touch. The grounds are beautiful and the setting overlooking the spit and the strait beyond it can’t be beat – sunsets are gorgeous and if it is too cold to stand outside on the deck above the water, the common room upstairs has a giant window that offers stunning views. Our hosts, Clare & Sue, were both so warm and kind – we were treated to amazing breakfasts and engaging conversation each morning. They really do a great job with this property, you can tell it is a labor of love for them.

A home away from home

This was one of the best stays we have had as a family. Our dog and toddler were just as welcome as my husband and I, and we all were catered to. I can’t say enough about this place, because every detail was lovely and deliberate and thoughtful. The bed was a dream (we stayed in the downstairs King suite), the breakfast was a multi-course production of local and house made foods that made us feel nourished for our adventures each day. The gardens were immaculate as was the entire barn house. The whole property evokes a sense of calm and comfort. Which I don’t know about you, but that’s the epitome of what I want on a vacation. I scoured the internet looking for a reasonable place to stay on the peninsula that was pet friendly, and this was by far the best option. We will be back many times over.

Eighth Anniversary

Hard to believe this was once a barn. Beautiful setting, incredible view, exquisite accommodations lovingly decorated. Delicious breakfast. Wonderful hosts. What else can we say? After breakfast, we enjoyed a long, leisurely walk out the nearby Dungeness spit.

Fabulous and Friendly!

We booked a room at the Dungeness Barn House Bed and Breakfast at the last minute during a recent August 2018 trip to the Olympic Peninsula. It’s hard to imagine a more beautiful setting, with the Strait of Juan de Fuca directly outside our “living room” picture window (there is a beautiful, common living room for the second floor rooms), and the Olympic Mountains in clear view while enjoying the beautiful and bountiful backyard garden, including the “Cluckington Palace” Hen house where your breakfast eggs come from! There is a private staircase down to a small, private beach on the tranquil downwind side of the Dungeness Split. What more could you ask for? On top of that the couple who own the B&B are very friendly and helpful about any questions you may have about the area.

After wedding getaway

First off let me start by saying this place is so well thought out the decor and everything placed inside the barn house is so cute and cozy. It gives you the true feeling of being at home even when your far away on vacation. You can feel the hard work, love and compassion that su and clare have put in this bed and breakfast to make the perfect getaway for anyone. They have a meditation room to unwind and relax. You also get the experience to walk through the garden, where you get to see all the fruits and veggies used for the gourmet breakfast in the morning. With a private quiet access to the Dungeness where you can was watch the sun setting leaving you breathless, and wave to cruise ships going by. The barn house not only has its amazing history, but also provides a relaxing and wonderful experience to make anyone feel welcome and most satisfied. You will not be disappointed. Me and my husband were so happy we got to experience a night in the barn house.

Beautiful & Cozy

We had such an amazing stay at the Barn House B&B, as soon as you step inside you fall in love with it. It’s beautifully decorated and filled with charming views of the Dungeness bay on one side and their garden on the other. Everything is so clean, and the soaps and lotions in the rooms smell so good. Our room was so cozy, and the windows allow for a perfect view to wake up to. Breakfast both mornings was delicious, with most of the ingredients grown from their garden. We definitely recommend their granola, it’s so yummy we had to purchase some to take home. Then of course, Su and Clare, they are such great hosts and are what really make this spot special, along with their puppy Cozy-Mo. They found out we had family nearby and offered to have them come over and put out a bottle of wine and a cheese plate for us. It was so incredibly sweet and thoughtful. We were looking for a place to relax for a few days, and that’s exactly what we got and so much more. My husband and I will definitely be returning soon.

Speechless!

My husband and daughter stayed here for two nights on a trip to Washington this month and I wish we would have stayed here the whole time. I was expecting this place to be beautiful, but WOW, it is stunning and the grounds are so beautifully maintained by the AMAZING Owners, Su and Clare….I’m truly speechless with these two women and beautiful souls. We immediately felt at home and were greeted with such kindness and sincerity! The breakfast was top notch (the granola is out of this world) and the Barn itself was so comfortable, beautifully decorated, very clean, and there was plenty of relaxing things to do…read, relax, sit outside, visit chickens, color in coloring books, walk to Dungeness Bay…Su and Clare have truly amazed us with their generosity and kindness. I feel like we’ve known them for years. We will 100% be back and next time will stay 4-5 days. It was so relaxing and beautiful, I can’t say enough good things about this place! The big picture to the smallest of details

Everything from a great view of the water (and a few steps to their private beach), gorgeous country French interiors out of Archetectual Digest, and endless bucolic views to gourmet breakfasts, a loft devoted to yoga/contemplation, and Innkeepers sent from heaven (friendly but not intrusive). Clare and Su’s life project made me feel like I was a house guest at a grand country estate. My double bed room faced the garden with only sounds of a fountain and the morning rooster! The bath downstairs was beautiful and convenient. Puzzles, snacks, pre-dinner wine: no detail was missing.

Two Friendly Crows, Beautiful Barn House, Gorgeous Garden – 3 reasons to return

Clare and Su are wonderful hosts and new friends. The Dungeness Barn House has an interesting history and Clare was generous in her time answering my 1000 questions about the property.

We stayed several days and were spoiled by Clare and Su’s superb skills in the kitchen. Each breakfast was unique and delicious and felt very healthy and rejuvenating. The portions were generous; no guests walked away hungry.

Other guests we met during our stay were interesting and friendly, too. That is part of the beauty of staying at a B & B. Those that duck away into their hotel rooms miss this unique opportunity.

We stayed in the ground floor Dungeness View Suite. It was comfortable, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated. In fact, all of the common rooms were so decorated. In the early evening, Clare and Su presented a nice assortment of wine, cheese, and veggies (from the garden of course). A perfect nosh before dinner and a great opportunity to meet other travelers and share and hear stories and plans for dinner, etc. Nourish get’s our vote!

Each breakfast included a homemade granola mix that is second to none. We enjoyed it so much that we purchased a large jar of it upon departure.

We also left with lettuce, dill, artichokes, anise, beats, rhubarb – all grown organically on the property. Once home we made dill pesto, rhubarb cake, steamed artichokes, and mixed the beats with carrots. Guests for dinner couldn’t believe there wasn’t sugar added. Really there wasn’t – the beats are naturally sweet.

The friendly labradoodle (Sorry I forgot your name) was a friendly and enthusiastic companion while touring the garden. He showed us the way to the lovely girls (hens) who provide us with part of our breakfast.

A nice stop off at the beach is nearby, across the road, past a gate, and down some stairs. A very lovely place to listen to the waves, gaze at the ocean or your significant other.

We look forward to our next visit. We definitely will return and probably bring friends. Thank you Su and Clare and labradoodle, too!

Wonderful experience as if at home

I don’t like B&B, to share small and no-privacy area with strangers plus dirty old carpet. However, I love it here and I will be back.

The interior —– is rusty and french modern at the same time. I like the flooring, choice of colors in the barn house and decoration.
Allergy — Wood floor through the rooms, allergy free.
Hosts ——-are welcoming and lovely. They made great healthy breakfast with produce from the garden. I also got some free lavender and flower seeds from their garden.
Environment — cozy, comfortable. Good sharing space for guests to use (see pic). you can read or study while enjoy the view from either ocean or garden.
Vision—– Different from other B&B they have a vision to preserve the land from developer to federal trust and to keep the organic state of land for produce.

A perfect getaway

We just returned from a delightful two night stay at Dungeness Barn House B & B given as a gift to us by a dear friend. Cant stop talking about this wonderful bed and bedfast!

This is the kind of place that stands out in every way. Location is peaceful and scenic. Private beach to watch sunset. Sue and Claire are so welcoming and great cooks! Breakfast is so very good and lots of it. We had whole house to ourselves. Even a view in the bathroom. Beds comfortable, rooms large and comfy. Have stayed at B and B’s all over US. This is by far one of the nicest! The dog Cozy Mo was a treat too!

A true gem!

My fiance and I just stayed two nights at the Barn House. He had bid on the stay at a charity auction as it was overlooked Dungeness Spit which is nostalgic to the both of us. When we showed up we adored it from the very beginning. The yards are immaculately kept and at this time blooming with daffodils. Su met as at the door and was welcoming from the get go. She introduced us to the Barn and was full of ideas and recommendations. The Barn is tastefully decorated in a modern yet timeless way that makes it feel homey yet special. We stayed in the Garden Suite which opens to the common area and a beautiful view of the water and Dungeness Spit. They have private steps to the beach where the sunsets are stunning. Clare made absolutely delightful breakfast that was fresh and scrumptious. We are so impressed with the location, property, hosts and every part of it. I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed. We will be back =]

Beautiful, Inn at a scenic location, with wonderful hosts

We enjoyed our 2nd visit to the property. We returned because we remembered the great location and the great hospitality when we visited under the old management 5 years ago. We felt that the new renovations to the inn were tasteful and gave it a fresh new feel, making it fee more open and cheerful! We felt at home with Su and Clair, who were very welcoming and caring. We loved their excellent breakfasts which were very different each of the 3 days of our stay. They gave us good ideas of what to see and do in the area. We look forward to returning on our next trip back to Sequim!

Perfect B and B Experience

We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property for a week. Su and Clare were so accommodating and their property is beautiful. We were in the area to attend our daughters wedding at Eberle Farm. It was in perfect proximity and is a great place for families to stay who may be in the area for the same reason. For longer stays, I would recommend the upstairs Garden Suite as it is adjacent to the beautiful great room with amazing water views of the Dungeness spit. The Dungeness View Suite is equally beautiful, so you really could not go wrong with either choice. The breakfast was nothing short of amazing. Every day, breakfast was a new adventure in fantastic cuisine from the imaginative juices to water infused with interesting flavors, to the main course; perfect! Last but not least, when you walk in, you notice right away how beautifully everything is decorated and maintained. So clean and thoughtfully put together. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay and how lovely the owners are!

A Special Place

The passion they have for their converted barn is inspiring and their concern for their guests’ comfort is inimitable. Beautiful, relaxing, and delicious!

We stayed at the Dungeness Barn House for two nights in July. The experience we had exceeded our expectations! Clare and Sue have remodeled the old Barn House B&B and the interior decor is beautiful. Three of the rooms are on the second floor and surround a common area which on one side has a gorgeous view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and on the other side, a view of the Olympic mountains. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms that has a full size bed, and we used a bathroom downstairs (not a big deal at all). Our window overlooked the B&B’s gardens as well as the neighbor’s pasture complete with grazing cows. A bucolic scene indeed! Clare and Sue are wonderful hosts. They are friendly, engaging, and clearly enjoy chatting with their guests. Breakfasts were amazing! We especially enjoyed the fresh garden produce included in our meals (collected from the backyard!). We look forward to staying at the Barn House on our next trip to Sequim.

Serene retreat, gorgeous setting, superb innkeepers

It is hard to avoid superlatives when reviewing the lovely and serene Dungeness Barn House B&B. This is our second visit and will not be our last. The converted barn is a masterpiece and the comfortable rooms and common areas are gracefully decorated. Its lovely grounds, perched on headlands overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca, offer a retreat from the hurly burly spinning of our modern lives. The innkeepers, who welcome guests like long, lost, loved friends, are available to help but are never intrusive. Breakfast is always a treat, especially when eggs from the Barn House chickens are on the menu. A stay at the Dungeness Barn House B&B leaves us refreshed, relaxed, and longing to return.

Fantastic

This place is amazing. We had not stayed at many B&B’s before, and we were completely blown away. It is impeccably clean and the property is very well maintained. We only got to meet Clare, and could not have asked for a better host; easy to chat with, accommodating, and knows when to allow guests more space or privacy and when to engage more. The rooms are luxurious and the view is stunning. Breakfast was beyond expectations, and possibly the best meal we had all week on vacation.
Lastly, the location is wonderful too, just outside the business of Port Angeles but convenient to restaurants and some hiking as well.
We cannot wait to go back one day and stay for longer.

Delightful stay

Only a one night getaway, but the stay was delightful. Very gracious host Claire welcomed us, showed us around and left us to relax and enjoy. Wine and nibbles in the garden in the sunshine, a walk down to the beach, dinner in town and a comfy night’s sleep. Bed was a little firm for me, but I sleep on a water mattress at home. We had the downstairs suite and we’re the only guests, so had the run of the place. Snacks abound, coffee and tea etc. Fantastic view of Dungeness spit and the Passage. Highly recommend.
